New Joker - Ladyhawk

This is one song off a mix I made for my boyfriend. I tend to make him mixes every month of the what I consider to be the best songs of any given moment. This song is particular is a long time favorite of mine; although it’s not really about love, it feels like a love song to me.

Half a Canyon - Pavement

Wowee Zowee (Matador 1996)

Pavement was one of the most influential lo-fi/indie bands of all time, being one of the first bands to stay signed to an independent label through the duration of their career. The band was formed in Stockton, CA by Stephen Malkmus and Scott Kannberg (aka Spiral Stairs) in 1989 and dispersed in 1999. Malkmus went on to form Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks while Kannberg turned his attention to his side project Preston School of Industry. The band has announced a reunion tour for the autumn of 2010.
